The Sleep Report: Kate's Day Four and Day Five

Day Four: Yay, I did it! This is the closest I've come to logging those so-called beneficial eight hours of sleep. I had to be up early for a phone interview so I couldn't cheat and sleep in to make up for late-night working. But tonight I was exhausted after a tough spinning class and couldn't wait to eat dinner and nod off. Looks like those hours in bed paid off--I was turned on today. The hours flew by, I was productive and never wanted to abandon the computer screen as is usually the case, and for once I wasn't constantly hungry. A happy Friday indeed!

Day Five: No excuses for my actions. Instead of sticking to getting more sleep, I regressed backward and found Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives more intriguing than clocking zzz's. Usually that type of behavior is forgiveable, but for someone who couldn't take Saturday morning to sleep in, I need to give myself a slap on the hand. And I felt the repercussions too: very groggy upon rising, not even hearing my alarm, and slightly lethargic for my Cycle for ALS (more to come on this) at the gym. I definitely scheduled in a nap for the afternoon and plan to hit the pillow early tonight. Posted by Kate
