Welcome to Fit-Ink!

With the start of the new year, two Chicago-based writers and fit-minded females decided to ring in 2009 by introducing a new fitness-focused blog to cyberspace. After numerous cycling rides on Chicago's Lakefront Path this past summer and trading training tips for triathlons and marathons via e-mail during the work day, Fit-Ink was born: a way for us to explore the changing world of fitness, share some of the tips and advice we've learned (sometimes even during our own adventures) relating to all things active, and keep up with another love outside the gym and off the running trail, writing. So in addition to saying hello to 2009, we're toasting to the start of this new venture and hope that more fitness fans stumble upon us and stay for more.

Fit-Ink aims to cover a variety of topics as it pertains to fitness, activity and movement. You'll find your fair shares of product reviews--gear we like, nutrition bars to try--plus a healthy smattering of training, news, trips and bargains, just to name a few.
