Gear Hunting: Don't Miss These Boston-Themed Goodies at the Expo!

There are conflicting philosophies on race gear. Some people refuse to wear their marathon-branded stuff until those 26.2 miles are complete. Some people won't wear the gear until the 26.2 miles are completed with a finish time they are proud to report. And some people wear their race-themed apparel on training runs, to the Expo, heck--even in the marathon. Whatever camp you fall into, it's not just any gear you're spending your pennies on this weekend. You want the tee/fleece/jacket/sweatshirt that screams BOSTON 2009! and we don't blame you. We dug around for a sneak peek of some of the coolest Boston-themed gear major apparel companies will hawk at the Expo...and we'll keep adding to this list until the Hynes Convention Center opens its doors at 2pm EST on Friday, April 17. Happy hunting! Posted by Liz

New Balance is going Irish this year. Pick up this tee for $15, or two for $20.

Everyone is buzzing about the sure-fire hit by ASICS...the Ryan Hall-elujah tee. It's dark gray, made of performance material (not scratchy cotton) and $30.

Event sponsor adidas has a ton of awesome stuff. Personally, I'm smitten with this yellow Boston lifer tee, which goes for $28. They've also got Boston-branded sneakers, flip flops, jackets, sweatshirts, hats, bags and more.

It's all about the Boston accent over at the Nike booth. Shirts display taglines like "Haht Breakah" and "One Wicked Fast Runnah." There's also a special "Bring home Boston" tee honoring the awesome Kara Goucher.
