The Daily Feed: Sites We're Surfing on 4/5

I don't mean to harp on the weather once again, but a snowstorm blowing into Chicago kept me indoors after my morning at the gym and I couldn't help but poke around on the computer. And I was super psyched when I stumbled across some blogs that combine two loves of my own, food and fitness, plus some other links. Check out some of my favorite finds for the day:
  • I was hungry all afternoon thanks to Eat, Live, Run which captures vibrant food shots and fitness finds like Jillian Michaels' Shred workout.
  • Fit for Free explores staying healthy and active without spending a dime.
  • Need some new food ideas or a tried-and-true tip? The Fitnessista has both. Her salad photos caught my eye and I'm hoping to integrate some recipes into my weeknight meals.
  • Beginner Triathlete has a new look to its website. Its full of the same great tips, training logs, reviews and more.
  • The Cherry Blossom 10-Miler celebrated the coming of spring to the Washington, D.C. area. I can't believe how fast some runners tore through the capital.
  • And while this doesn't entire fit, I found it too interesting not to share. These days the mall is taking on more than a shopping purpose. With stores shuttering their doors at malls around the country thanks to our current economic situation, the New York Times reported Flowrider systems being installed in vacant retail spaces. Now you can pretend you're surfing the pipeline without traveling to the tropics.
