- I confess that I spotted this one in a Newsweek my husband had yet to part with, but I'm obsessed with most things Olympic, especially the swimmmers, and was really surprised when a swimmer other than Michael Phelps graced the magazine's pages. Granted it's unfortunate that Jason Lezak's tale came now as opposed to August when he out-touched France's Alain Bernard for the gold medal in the 4 x 100 freestyle relay.
- My mouth was watering over these healthy stir fry options at delish.com. That's usually one of my go-to meals after a workout, but my current concoctions could definitely use a pick me up.
- The New York Times takes a look at the presentation Chicago gave to the IOC in hopes of becoming the host city of the 2016 Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
- If you're at all familiar with Glamour.com's blog, Margarita Shapes Up, there's a new blogger descending upon the Shape Up section, Karina Arrue. I'm loving the fun nutrition tips!
- Sorry for the self promotion but a guest post I wrote for a Chicago foodie blog elizabites.com is up and running. Check out my review of the burger at Sola here in Chicago--this fitness fiend likes to eat too, hehe.

So here's some of my favorite reading for the day:
